CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE (CQ) COACH

Since 2000, through  Ithaca (Singapore ) Pte Ltd and Shorea Training & Consultancy Farid has been delivering Cultural Competency training in Singapore, China and Australia. Clients include Educators, School Administrators & Principals, Community Leaders as well as Corporate Executives. Farid is a qualified Cultural Intelligence Trainer & Coach accredited to the Cultural Intelligence Center (USA). Some of his clients include Exxon Mobil, BHP Billiton, The Singapore International Foundation, The National Youth Council (Singapore), Nanyang Girls High School, the Inter Racial and Religious Confidence Circles , Singapore Institute of Management, The People's Association, Onepeople.sg, and the National Intstitute of Education (Singapore).

MULTICULTURAL & MULTIFAITH TRAINING

Since February 2012, Shorea Training and Consultancy has had the privilege of working with the Toowoomba Regional Council, Queensland, University of Southern Queensland and The Pure Land Learning College's Multifaith Multicultural Centre in training religious and community leaders in facilitating multicultural and multifaith dialogue. This is part of the City of Toowoomb's vision to make : "Toowoomba a model city of peace and harmony" by "Strengthening social cohesion and promoting greater social trust through greater appreciation of diversity in faiths & believs across multicultural communities". Over 90 faith and community leaders have thus far attended the training sessions. Some of the faith traditions represented include: Christianity (various denominations), Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, Unitarian-Universalist, Wicca, Non-Religious Spiritual traditions. Also present were representatives from the Atheist, Agnositc and Humanist communities. Training will continue in 2013.
